DETAILS

Determined to create something that was better than the BTR platform Alois Ruf knew that the RCT platform and generation of 964-based vehicles needed to be incredible. Standing for Ruf Carrera Turbo, the RCT was powered by a 3.6 liter, turbocharged flat six engine that produces 425 horsepower to the rear wheels via a short shifted 6-speed transmission, built by RUF and amplified even more after a restoration and engine overhaul.
This particular vehicle started life as a Porsche 964 Speedster that was taken to RUF’s facility in Pfaffenhausen for a complete restoration and coach build with built engine. It underwent an entire bare metal refresh, color change to Ferrari Rosso Mugello, new full leather and alcantara interior with red deviated stitching, RUF cluster upgrade, and red carpeting. When at RUF the vehicle received a complete engine rebuild and refresh with upgrades from the factory as well. After trading hands to RUF North America, the car was sent back to the factory to do something that had never been done before, the ultimate expression of open-air aircooled driving. It underwent a complete conversion to the build you see in front of you. A 425 horsepower, single turbo RCT Evo Speedster. Equipped with centerlock 19 inch wheels housing carbon ceramic brakes on all four corners, this platform was reworked with new uprights, new coilovers and complete braking system upgrade. Fitted with carbon front and rear bumpers and carbon decklid, weight was dropped further from the original lightweight speedster build done prior. Reflecting incredibly low miles, this RCT Speedster Restomod is like no other RUF built RCT in the world. Fully documented by the factory with RUF Zertifikat proving its authenticity. Available exclusively through RUF North America.
