Being the only rear-engined, manual, carbon monocoque chassis vehicle made, the RUF SCR is something never seen before. This vehicle is produced entirely in-house, powered by our own 510-horsepower 4-liter water-cooled flat-six, the RUF SCR is an incredibly emotional, high-performance vehicle tying together the future of our company with a driver-oriented, analog feel. With our rear quarter glass having a unique curve, we’ve placed two tunnels as inlets for air directly to the throttle body and carbon airbox behind your ears, breathing instantly when stepping on our titanium 3D printed pedals. Clad entirely in carbon fiber, the skin is designed and proportionally laid over our chassis and integrated roll-cage to resemble the iconic lines every enthusiast and purist recognizes. Proportional and sized perfectly, the RUF SCR still mimics the same body length of our iconic air-cooled vehicles. Steering and handling are keen thanks to our dual wishbone, push-rod suspension in the front and in the rear and thanks to our carbon ceramic brakes on all four corners, braking power is sensational. Weighing around 1,250 kilos, the RUF SCR power-to-weight ratio is brilliant and with our own six speed transmission made in-house, the instant throttle response of our naturally aspirated powerplant flows through the gears with linear and exhilarating performance.
