BTR 3.4 Slantnose VIN 001

Starting with the history of the RUF BTR, this is the first model we made as a manufacturer with our own VIN. It was groundbreaking for our history in being the first model and helping us achieve the title of World’s Fastest Production Car in 1984. When developed, RUF engineered a 3.4 liter flat six mated to our own turbo putting out 374 horsepower with a transmission we fully developed in house as well. Mated to a 5 speed dog-leg gearbox, our BTR 3.4’s were the fastest and most advanced variants of the rear engined platform. Move onto this particular model for sale and you find another pivotal vehicle for RUF history as it is the very first slantnose BTR 3.4 made. Being one of the first cars from RUF in the US, this is one of the vehicles that helped bring the brand to the attention of the American consumer. Preserved in exceptional condition with only 7600 original miles, the inside of this slantnose BTR is a time capsule of 80’s RUF technology. Having benefitted from a sympathetic restoration by RUF North America, this BTR had its India Red paint refreshed on the front clip and horizontal panels, new wheels and tires (with original 17inch RUF wheels still included), full service including new steering rack, full fluids, AC service, new turbo hoses, heater hoses, and brake discs all around. This BTR Slantnose has chassis stamping 001 making it a quintessential piece of RUF history to include in any collection. Being sold with original tool kit, original first aid kit still sealed, certifications, and historic records, this BTR is available now and is ready to be enjoyed.
